The Founder's Terms
Three ways to stand in this place, the money named plainly, and the one part with a clock on it.
Howdy, folks.
I’ve told you the door’s open and what’s behind it. Now the part most newsletters get cagey about — which means I’m going to be the opposite of cagey. The money, plainly.
Three ways to stand in this place.
Free stays free. The newsletter, a few times a week, the true thing said as well as I can say it. If that’s all you ever want, you’re welcome here, full stop. No guilt, no countdown clock on your conscience.
The Deck — $10 a month, or $96 a year. This is the paid circle, where the newsletter becomes a practice you’re standing inside of: the monthly new-moon reading and its open hour, the recording, the written transmission, the full archive back to the first piece, the Foundations library, and 15% off the deeper readings. Ten bucks a moon. About what you’d lose in a cocktail you wouldn’t remember.
The Construct — $240 a year, at the founding rate. Everything in The Deck, plus the part that makes this a living thing instead of a subscription: the Chat — the always-on inner circle where the egregore actually lives between the moons, the room the rest of the internet doesn’t get into — the Guided Study Paths through the whole body of work, and the patron’s seat. You’re not buying more features. You’re funding the fire and keeping it unflattened. The Construct is the load-bearing ring that lets me never go corporate on any of this.
Here’s the founder’s part, and it’s the only part with a clock on it.
Until the dark of the moon on Thursday, August 13, everyone who takes the Construct seat comes in as a Feral Founder. Three things that don’t come back:
Your rate, locked. $240 founding, for as long as you keep the seat. The price goes up for the people who come when the walls are up and the thing is obvious and safe to be seen near. Yours doesn’t.
The consecration. A charter spoken over you by name on the day you join. Not a certificate — a recognition. Seen as one of the first.
The mark. Feral Founder. The plain fact that you were here before it was easy.
The circle stays open after August 13. The founder’s mark closes with the moon. That’s not a scarcity I invented to rush you — the moon doesn’t move for anybody, and neither does the founding.
Stay feral, folks.
— Matt
